Mountain biking can be an intimidating sport, but through ‘Ride Like A Girl’ we help women overcome this fear by teaching them to believe in themselves and their abilities and understanding the sport on a deeper level.

Learning how to recognise your fears and limitations, and then how to manage and control them through the mastery of a series of simple yet precise and easy to learn MTB skills is one of the most empowering experiences. Helping people through this process and seeing them succeed not only gives me professional satisfaction, but makes me super stoked on a personal level. I love to teach and witness that moment when people get it. Everybody can. Literally everybody!

I was absolutely blown away by the skills course we attended at Holla Trails last weekend. Not only are Wessel and Victoria amazing people but their skills training was so much more than I expected. We had so much fun but at the same time the important skill sets were taught and explained so well that by the end of the weekend I was a much more confident rider. Sprocket and Jack is a workshop-centric, bespoke bicycle space and suspension service centre priding ourselves in our workmanship, attention to detail and personal service with the sole aim of keeping you up and riding. Our workshop is our pride and joy, thats why its completely open plan and all in plain sight, no dark and dingy backrooms where the bigger hammers or wrong tools come out!

Our Retail space is known to carry unique items seldom found elsewhere such as items for cyclocross, gravel grinding, bike packing, fat and single speed bikes as well as the normal road, TT, Kids and MTB offerings.

We always make a plan, not just any plan but a plan that works. We have an engineering underbelly of note allowing us to assist our clients and other stores with challenging problems. If we don’t have a tool, we make one. If your seat post is stuck, we remove it. Retro fitting new parts to older bikes, our milling machine or lathe will make it work and look great!

Grant has been riding mountain bikes since the 80's allowing him to evolve with the suspension revolution from the early elastomer forks which he duly modified, all the way to today's electronic lockout models. He has also raced radio control cars and motocross which rely heavily on suspension perfection. We apply our collective experience and training to forks and rear shocks to get and keep them running to your personal preference and can revive your old favourite to its former glory.

We carry all these offerings out into the field at many events across the country by offering a familiar and fair service package at the ABSA Cape Epic, Joburg2C, Berg and Bush amongst others.
